Bookkeeper

SUMMARY
Accurately operates under the direction of the Location Leader completing various accounting functions required to account for grain, agronomy and feed related transactions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Work in a safe and efficient manner, according to Ag Partners' Safety Policy.
Utilize good customer service skills at all times when servicing customers and working with other departments within the company.
Demonstrate work habits that develop, build, and support the team concept within the organization.
Prepare customer grain contracts, settlements and issue grain settlement checks as needed.
Ensure settlements are made following all state requirements.
Issue shipping papers and SDS sheets for agronomy products.
Respond to customer inquiries and concerns at the counter and over the phone regarding statements, grain bids and contracting, customer grain positions and historical account activity.
Accurately prepare and print product invoices for fertilizer, seed, chemicals, and other miscellaneous products.
Weigh inbound and outbound grain loads at the scale; maintain accurate scale ticket data files.
Invoice outbound grain and prepare/input grain transfers.
Review daily scale ticket printouts and other grain reports.Reconcile any differences and prepare corrections.
Manage deferred payment grain contracts.
Ensure daily deposits are updated and reconciled.
Backup other functions within the office as requested.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional training in Hazmat regulations.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
